The QIE Foundation (What's in a Name)

It is so shocking to find out how many people do not believe that they can learn, and how many more believe learning to be difficult.
— Frank Herbert

Don't worry, be happy. It is the guiding principle of the QIE Foundation that developing critical thinking skills, for the purpose of understanding and manipulating the world around us, leads to a happy and fulfilling life, and makes one a productive member of society. By critical thinking we mean the ability to analyze a situation or problem, extract or discern the essence as pertains to one's goals, and connect the new with the old in order to develop a deeper understanding, find a solution to a problem, and/or create something new beyond which others have done.
